Second Day
Grecia & Sarchi (Oxcart Factory)Tour. (Lunch)
Located in the province of Alajuela and surrounded by sugar cane fields, will find Grecia, a beautiful town considered one of the cleanest in Latin America, it is home to the only Metal Church in Central America and a national monument that fills its inhabitants with pride. Continue on to Sarchi, known as the birthplace of Costa Rica sculptures, woodcarving workshops. Here you may enjoy the artistic work of the local artisans as they create the famous typical oxcart and you will be able to shop for that special souvenir to take back home with you.

Third Day
San Jose - Pacuare- Tortuguero overnight (Three Days, Two Nights)
You will leave San Jose at 6 am to go to the Caribbean coast. On our way, we will cross the Braulio Carillo's National Park, situated in the east northern part of the central valley of San Jose, on a volcanic chain, between Poas and Irazu volcanoes. This park is 95% covered with tropical forest, surrounding Barba and Cano Negro volcanoes. Around 7 am, we will take a delicious local breakfast (on prior request, it is possible to order an American breakfast, with cereals and fruits). We will then head to the typical Caribbean village of Bataan, so as to reach the boarding place of « Tortuguero Expedition » situated in a preserved area, away from most of the tourist places. We will go down Tortuguero's canal and reach Mother of God's lagoon (900 000 m²) where the Pacuare river flows. We will be surrounded by projects aiming at preserving Baula turtles, green turtles and Hawk turtles. Tortuguero Expedition's property produces clean energy thanks to its solar panels. Their boats are equipped with ecologic and modern engines. They do not reject any oil or fuel in the water and do not make any noise so that you will peacefully enjoy the beauty of this area.
You might be able to see ...Numerous species such as howler monkeys, spider-monkeys, white faced monkeys, crocodiles, caimans, basilisks, iguanas, and over 400 different species of birds and much more!
Lunch and rest time. At the property, you will find large outdoor gardens (15000m²), huts, hammocks, drinking water, clean toilets, canoes and kayaks.
We will leave the beautiful Pacuare´s place for going to the hotel in Tortuguero´s Town
The Lodge is strategically located only five minutes away from the Tortuguero National Park, and right across the main "canal" facing the town of Tortuguero. Surrounded by a network of very scenic canals, this is considered one of the most exotic regions of the world, characterized by its rich in flora and fauna. It has 14 hectares de amplitude. Among the offered activities is fishing and from July to September, only a few minutes from the hotel, you can enjoy an unforgettable experience: the arrivals of the green sea turtle. The Lodge offers very comfortable rooms with bamboo furniture and ceiling fan. The facilities of the property are a nicely decorated restaurant, bar, a beautiful swimming pool, picturesque gardens, ranchos with hammocks to enjoy the jungle and canal views and a modern fleet of boats and busses. This lodge also offers its own canopy tour for all ages.

Fourth Day
Tortuguero Second Day
During your stay, you will be taken out on tours to the smaller canals and hikes into the lush rain forest of the National Park area, in which nature lovers can observe the virgin forest, many species of birds, mammals and reptiles. For the most adventurous, hiking to the Tortuguero hill is a must.

After breakfast; enjoy the Sky trek & Sky tram. Sky Trek: Zip in a tour full of adrenaline. Fly over the treetops at (13,387 feet) on 10 different cables feet, with lengths that reach 2,526 feet, and highs of even 460 feet.
Duration: 4 hour´s approximately:

Our suggestions: Long pants, t-shirt, hiking shoes, camera, binoculars, sun lotion, repellent and raincoat.
