- PASSPORT - Please make sure that it is valid
- Plenty of underwear and socks
- Sun Glasses
- Jeans
- Shorts
- Trousers
- Shirts (cotton or light synthetic)
- Tee shirts
- Several swim suits
- Sun Screen
- Insect repellent
- Rain gear-poncho or raincoat
- Sneakers, (hiking shoes if you own them, no need to specially purchase)
- Rubber Sandals or old sneakers
- Casual Shoes
- Toiletries
- Sweatshirt / sweater / light jacket
- Hat
- Camera
- Binoculars
- Plastic Bags (for wet swimsuits)
Safety Issues: Costa Rica is a safe country, but common sense is always important.
You should not bring fancy jewelry. Hotels provide safe deposit boxes to safe keep your valuables and passport and important documents (airline tickets and passport) please use them.
